Finals Feast

Wait… hold on a second… Is it seriously time for Finals Week again?! This semester flew by like lightening. Now it is time for that dreaded week of endless hours of studying, dark bags under our eyes, jittery hands from overdosing on caffeine, and those moments when all you want to do is scream from stress.

Yet, those things don’t have to come true. My theory on finals week is that of simplicity: yes finals are awful, but in less than two weeks we will be home free. No longer bound by the stress of expectations and good grades. Our lives won’t fall into the mercy of a single letter. Although these things are important… but they are not the most important.

By all means, don’t take this advice as a Get-Out-Of-Finals-Free card because some stranger on a blog told you that there are more important things than an education. Remember, it is all about balance. You still need to bust your butt and not let the “coulda-shoulda-woulda” eat you alive.

So PUSH HARDER for those awesome grades that we all deserve, but when you feel like you are about to lose it… take that break! Here is an idea. On December 9th from 6-9 pm the University Programming Board is hosting the Fall Finals Feast in the Russell Union Ballroom.

Our campus administrators are volunteering and working together to serve YOU. It is like a giant thank you and high five for all of us students who work everyday and strive to make this wonderful university a better place.

Thank you Georgia Southern students, Campus Administrators, and Eagle Fans!! It has been a heck of a semester. Here’s to many more [unless you are finally graduating]!

VIRTUAL HIGH FIVE.
