Wait, did someone say it’s going to snow in Statesboro?? How is this possible, we are in South Georgia, and that almost NEVER happens here!
Who would’ve thought that one day we’re all out enjoy the 70 degree weather, and the next schools are being closed and the temperature is dropping to below freezing with the chance of snow! Well, whether or not we do end up getting any snow, the winter advisory for the area did make Georgia Southern decide to shut down for the afternoon and all day tomorrow…which is probably just as good of news as snow to all those students, faculty and staff!
- Go sledding
- Make a snowman, or even a whole family of snow people
- Make snow angels
- Make and eat snow ice cream
- Have a snowball fight
- Build and igloo or a fort
- Use the snow a refrigerator and just hangout outside for the day
- Get a group of friends together and play a sport
- Paint the snow
Whatever you decide to do with your time over the next two days, just make sure you document it all (with picture proof) so you can tell the story to people down the road of how you survived the Statesboro “Snow Apocalypse” of 2014!
Once all matters of snow calm down and things are back to normal functioning, make sure to check out the University Wellness Program on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on all of our upcoming events!
