Ever wish it was “socially acceptable” to get back to your elementary school roots and just pull out a hula hoop or jump rope while hanging out at the rotunda in between classes? Or have you ever had the urge to get a game of four-square or twister going on a nice day in the grassy areas by the Union? Well here’s your chance! The University Wellness Program wants everyone to bring out their inner 5th grader and join us for April’s ‘Put Wellness in Your Wednesday’ event, Recess! Come out to the Russell Union Rotunda on Wednesday, April 30th from 11am-2pm and let out some pent up energy with grade school-type games, prizes, and fun before the craziness of finals week begins!
Speaking of finals week and how it’s quickly approaching, it’s important to make sure you take some time and have some fun during all of your studying. Don’t get me wrong, it is very important that you study for your finals, but if you start now, plan for them in advanced, and take breaks you should be able to go into the exams much calmer and less stressed! If you do a Google search for ‘tips on surviving finals’ you’ll most likely see a few commonalities, including:
- Don’t panic
- Make sure to eat a good breakfast the morning of
- Get a good night’s sleep
- Take breaks/have some fun
So, try to enjoy the rest of the semester without too much stress and come out to re-live your childhood days where the important things were who brought the better dessert in their lunch box and how much longer you had to wait until recess time!
